Evidence summary
Research confidence: low
No pre-workout reference dose. The best located placebo-controlled human trial used 30 mg twice daily for 12 weeks in adults aged 50โ85 with degenerative or vascular dementia. That therapeutic population and chronic 60 mg/day regimen do not establish efficacy for a healthy athlete taking 10 mg acutely before exercise. No exercise-performance or healthy-adult acute-focus trial was found.
