Evidence summary
Research confidence: low
No pre-workout reference dose. Humic and fulvic substances are variable mixtures whose composition depends on their source and processing. Small human studies have tested specific carbohydrate-derived fulvic acid or gram-level humic-acid products for short-term safety or microbiome effects, not acute exercise performance or absorption of ingredients from a pre-workout. The 35 mg label amount does not disclose how much is humic acid, fulvic acid or mineral content.

Fourteen healthy volunteers took 1.2-2.4 g/day of a specific humic-acid product for 45 days; the observational study measured microbiome changes, not exercise performance or nutrient absorption from a pre-workout serving.

Humic substances are complex, heterogeneous natural materials; humic and fulvic acids are operational fractions whose properties depend on source and extraction conditions.
