Evidence summary
Research confidence: medium
No pre-workout reference dose. EMA assesses Hedera helix leaf preparations as expectorants for productive cough, not for exercise performance, energy, pump or focus. Hederacoside C is a pharmacopoeial marker for ivy leaf extract, but no human trial establishes a useful acute pre-workout dose. The printed 100 mg is the mass of the extract standardized to 10% hederacosides, so it is retained as 100 mg rather than converted to 10 mg.
