Evidence summary
Research confidence: low
No reference dose: piperine is a bioavailability enhancer (it inhibits hepatic and intestinal glucuronidation). Its best-known human result is 20 mg piperine raising curcumin bioavailability ~2000%; no pre-workout ingredient has been shown to be enhanced at the 5-10 mg found on labels, and piperine has no direct ergogenic effect.
